Two Step - The Horizontal Approach

In this mindset-shifting class, Anthony and Rose pause the step-by-step grind to deliver a big-picture concept that can change how you see Two Step forever. Titled The Horizontal Approach, this live session dives into the difference between learning patterns vertically (like climbing a ladder) versus mastering them horizontally—by seeing how each piece fits together in a real-world, functional way. Rather than stacking endless new steps on top of one another, Anthony and Rose encourage dancers to explore the depth and versatility of just a few core moves: the basic, the promenade, the left turn, and the right turn. With those four patterns, you already have 90% of what you’ll use on the dance floor. Now it’s about connecting them, flowing between them, and using them intentionally. This class is less about learning a new pattern and more about learning how to dance. It’s about how to think, how to lead, how to follow, and how to build confidence using what you already know. With Anthony’s signature down-to-earth teaching style, practical demonstrations, and a few laughs along the way, this session helps dancers level up—not by climbing higher, but by dancing wider.
