Salsa: Inside Turns
Learn the Salsa Inside Turn by combining it with the Cross Body Lead. This is where things start getting a little more challenging, because now the follower is traveling to the other side and turning at the same time. We’ll break down how the turn travels down a line, why the follower’s foot position matters so much, and why the timing of the lead is more important than just memorizing a count. One of the big things in this lesson is understanding when the turn can happen. If the follower is on the wrong foot, the turn is going to feel awkward no matter what you do. Once that timing makes sense, the whole pattern becomes a lot easier to understand. Leaders, your footwork is still basically the same Cross Body Lead you already learned. Followers, this is where you start getting into turns that travel instead of just turning in place.
