Wednesday night at Big Texas Spring is always a good time! We recommend all of our students to check out Big Texas for "Wild On Wednesdays" which their best night for country dancing (and ladies get in free). Big Texas Spring has a "racetrack" style dance floor, which means it has an oval shaped dance floor with seating and bars located both on the inside and the outside of the dance floor. This set up is fantastic for dancing Two Step, Polka, and Waltz. These country dance style are progressive, so they work well with just traveling along the dance floor. Big Texas Spring plays a lot of great Two Step and Polka music with a good amount of Waltz, West Coast Swing, and Line Dancing mixed in to give it just enough variety to keep it fun without feeling monotonous. If you live in North Houston, or are visiting the area, we recommend that you definitely give Big Texas Spring a try. They have some big name country music artists visiting sometime for country concerts on Thursdays and Friday night, but if you are looking to go country dancing, there is no better night at Big Texas Spring than Wednesdays.

As part of their nationwide dance adventure, Anthony and Rose make a stop in sunny Southern California to visit Moonshine Beach in San Diego. The sold-out class brought dancers of all levels together—and plenty of great questions kept things fun and interactive from start to finish. Once the lessons wrapped, the real party began. The dance floor was buzzing all night long with line dances, Two Step, swing, and more. Moonshine Beach delivered on every front: a lively crowd, a great music mix, and a welcoming atmosphere full of people who just love to dance. Whether you’re local to San Diego or planning a trip, Moonshine Beach is a must-visit for country dancers. This stop on the tour proves that California definitely knows how to throw down on a country dance floor.
Wine Country Dancing

In this fun vlog-style video, Anthony and Rose—along with a few of their dance friends—take the Two Step Tour to Southern California to see what country dancing looks like in wine country. First stop? A local studio in Temecula, where they teach a bootcamp to a group of local dancers. The class was full of energy, laughs, and a few future two-steppers in the making. After the workshop, the crew heads out to the famous Temecula Stampede—a big dance hall with a clever floor layout. Line dancers take the center while partner dancers circle the outside, making room for everyone without stepping on any toes. The place had good energy, lots of dancers, and the kind of vibe that makes you want to stay all night. Bonus: they convinced one of their Texas instructors to fly out just to ride the mechanical bull for the first time (no regrets, maybe a few bruises). It’s all part of the journey as Anthony and Rose keep exploring new cities, teaching new dancers, and bringing a little Texas flair to dance floors across the country.
