2S: Check Illusion and Bowtie Neck Roll
This intermediate Two Step pattern was one of the highlights from our stop at the Thirsty Horse Saloon in San Antonio, Texas, during the Two Step Tour. We call it the “Check to Illusion Turns and Bowtie Neck Roll,” and it’s one of those combos that feels as cool as it looks on the floor. We originally taught this one live on tour, and then came back to the studio to film this detailed breakdown — with a few fun clips from the live class mixed in. It’s ideal for intermediate dancers looking to add something stylish and unexpected to their social dancing. The balance between control and rotation makes it super satisfying to dance. Plus, it’s the kind of move that gets noticed — but still fits right in on a crowded honky tonk floor.
